Long Gone

I realized that I didn't really close this blog. I kinda liked the Savage though it was way to small for me. I would definetly recomment this bike to anyone 5'9" or shorter. Good looking, relaible and easy to work on. If you're considering buying one, buy it (if you fit on it).

Comments

I rode it a bit last week back an forth to work. Runs perfect. It's up to 5050 miles now. It was good to run some fresh gas though it.

I put a new Sportster pipe on the Savage last night. It's much more quiet then the hollowed out pipe. Neighbors like quiet pipes :)

The hollowed out Sportster pipe and the original Savage pipe will be included with the sale if you want them. The original pipe has a little rash on it. You can see it in the outdoor pics.

Also, I had a few inquires about the windshield. I've decided to keep the windshield. I've lowered the asking price though

New Battery

Got a new battery in on Saturday. She fires right up.

Did I mention I'll throw in the repair manual?

Older photos

These are the photos that were sent to me just before I bought the bike in April 2006.

I since had a bigger bike fall into my lap and I don't need two (actually I have three. One's a cafe racer project.. check it out. http://cb350project.blogspot.com/)

Very clean bike. Light weight. Nice daily driver. Clear Nebraska title in my name.

If you're over 6 feet, you may want to get forward control extensions. I'm 5'11.

5002 miles, 1 cylinder 650cc.

Runs good. I'll put a new battery in it this weekend

I have a windshield for it along with the repair manual and some other misc parts.

As you can see, it's a little dusty, it could use a bath.

I believe this bike has always been stored indoors.

There is no rust anywhere and the chrome and paint is excellent.
I tried to take photos of any imperfections.
Tires are good.
That is a hollowed out Sportster muffler on it. It's very loud. I intend to place the stock muffler back on the bike in the next couple days
